The Sagittal appliance is most often used for distalization of the posteriors, but can be adapted for anterior push by placing the screws parallel to each other and building anchorage into the pads of the posterior coverage. No labial bow is included in the standard design.
If indicated, cusp interdigitation will be maintained in the occlusal pads to provide anchorage during expansion.
